What doulas do and do not do.
Yasiin's Luv provides physical support, emotional support, informational support, and advocacy in communication with your healthcare providers. Doula care is non medical and works alongside, not in place of, your medical team.
- Offers comfort measures, positioning, and steady presence through labor
- Helps you understand your options and ask your team good questions
- Supports your partner so they can stay close to you
- Holds space for your culture, faith, and family
- Connects you with reliable information and trustworthy resources
- •Is not a medical provider or midwife
- •Does not perform clinical tasks
- •Does not take blood pressure or perform fetal heart checks
- •Does not perform vaginal exams
- •Does not make medical decisions for you
If in person support is not possible due to hospital restrictions, medical circumstances, emergency conditions, or other limitations, virtual support may be available by phone or video call depending on what is feasible and what feels right for your family.
For rare circumstances when the primary doula cannot attend, Yasiin's Luv identifies trusted backup doula support. You may have a chance to meet the backup by phone, video, or in person so your family is still gently held.
Care that is clear about cost.
A simple, two part payment so you can plan ahead with confidence.
- •$1,100 retainer due when you choose Yasiin's Luv and sign the agreement
- •$1,100 balance due 30 days before your estimated due date
- •Travel or parking fees may apply when relevant
