What care looks like, step by step.
- •A planning meeting with you and your partner at least once before birth
- •Conversation about the kind of postpartum support that fits your family
- •Help preparing for the early days, newborn care, and recovery
- •A schedule built together that reflects your rhythm and needs
- •Steady contact by phone, text, or email as you get closer to birth
- •Backup doula availability discussed when needed
- •Reach out as soon as labor begins, or within 24 hours after the baby is born
- •Forty eight hours notice before postpartum visits begin is helpful when possible
- •Schedules can shift gently as your baby and your recovery settle in
- •Daytime or overnight visits according to the plan you built together

What doulas do and do not do.
Postpartum doula support is physical, emotional, and informational. Telia works alongside your medical team and can help connect you with other professionals when more support is needed.

- Offers light household help, meal warmth, and sibling support
- Listens to how you are doing and gently checks in on your wellbeing
- Connects you to additional resources when something is outside her role
- •Is not a medical provider or midwife
- •Does not perform clinical tasks
- •Does not take blood pressure, temperature, or heart rate
- •Does not give prescription or over the counter medication to parent or baby
- •Does not make medical decisions or replace medical care
If in person support is not possible, virtual support may be available by phone or video call depending on what is feasible and what feels right for your family.
For rare circumstances when the primary doula cannot provide services, Yasiin's Luv may identify backup doula support. You may have a chance to meet a backup by video, phone, or in person.
Care that is clear about cost.
Hourly rates with a four hour minimum. A returning client discount is offered to families who were also Yasiin's Luv birth doula clients.
